By completing our application form you accept the following terms and conditions:
Membership
1. The Acorn Reward Scheme is only available to registered volunteers of Chiltern Rangers. Only one membership per person/email address is permitted.
2. If you need to change any of your details you have registered with on the Acorn Reward Scheme please do so on your My Account page.
3. We will communicate with you from time to time by email at the address you have given to us. Any such communication will be in relation to the Acorn Reward Scheme or otherwise in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Your account will remain active if you use your Acorn Reward Scheme portal at least once in any rolling 24 month period. If you fail to use your Acorns balance within this period, the Acorns will expire.
5. Acorns will be distributed to volunteers who have actively participated with Chiltern Rangers on a monthly basis. We reserve the right to limit how many Acorns can be awarded to any one account.
6. From time to time, we may run special promotions and award additional Acorns.
7. Unless an item is faulty, returns are not acceptable.
8. Your Acorns balance will be updated fortnightly.
9. Acorns cannot be exchanged for cash.
10. We reserve the right to refuse an application to join the Acorn Reward Scheme.
Data protection and privacy
11. When you have registered for the Acorns Reward Scheme, you will be asked to provide certain personal information, including your name, address, contact details. Chiltern Rangers are committed to maintaining the security of your personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. All reasonable steps are taken to ensure that your personal data is kept secure against unauthorised access, loss, disclosure or destruction. The Privacy Policy will apply whenever you provide us with personal information, except as required by law or in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, your information will not be passed to any other persons without your permission.
General
12. You are responsible for the security of your Acorn Rewards Portal and all Acorns issued.
13. If you suspect unauthorised use of your Acorn Rewards Portal, you should immediately report this to Chiltern Rangers on 01494 474486.
14. We may close an account which has not been used in any rolling 24 month period.
15. We may also immediately suspend or terminate your rights and/or close an account if we reasonably believe that you have acted in a manner not permitted by these terms and conditions, or if you engage in (or we reasonably suspect you of engaging in) any theft from or misconduct in connection with us or if you supply false or misleading information to us or we discover that you are not eligible to be a member of the Acorn Rewards Scheme, or for any other reason we see fit.
16. You can also close your account at any time by notifying us in writing. If an account is closed for any reason, all rights to redeem the Acorns from that account are lost.
17. We can cancel, withdraw or alter the scheme, including these Terms and Conditions at any time.
